Jack & Jill Updates!

Connecticut is opening “Phase 3” on October 8th, this means…

We do NOT need to sell tickets in two time blocks.

Sunday’s in-person event will now take place between 1:00pm – 5:00pm, and guests can arrive at anytime and stay for as short or long as they’d like. The rest of the information, as well as Saturday’s distance-event, remain the same. Please visit the Facebook page (you do not need a Facebook account to view) or Event page for full details.

Virtual Dance Lessons on FOX61 News!

Crystal Rose and Dave are taking professional dance lessons for their wedding. In case you missed it, they were highlighted on the local news after their dance studio starting doing virtual lessons. They have since gone back to in person lessons, but this was an experience!

Possible Venue

We are entertaining the idea of holding our wedding and reception at the Plainfield Town Hall. We scheduled a walk through on Thursday, 8/27, and hope to get some good pictures! This event space seems promising!

Our original venues were the East Hampton Congregational Church for our ceremony, and Beckham Hall at Wesleyan University for the reception. The church is currently closed until at least September 7. Wesleyan is not allowing any outside events for the remainder of the 2020 year, and most likely there will not be availability as early as February for our wedding. While the church may be open by February, we don’t want to require people to drive long distances to get to the ceremony, then from the ceremony to the reception, then back home. Having both the ceremony and reception at the same location seems like the best choice.

We do have a contingency plan if cases spike and the majority of businesses are shut down and gatherings are limited to 5 people. In this instance, we are planning to have just us and the minister in the HB Live production studio. From that location we will stream the ceremony live to all attendees online. We’re hoping it doesn’t come down to that, but we are steadfast on the wedding date.

Stay tuned for more information!

Wedding Planning

We are excited about our wedding! We are not letting the current situation of the world get us down. We have come up with numerous options to still have a fun and exciting wedding! Keep up to date with all our updates by following this blog.

Today, we began to consider holding our ceremony and reception at the same location. That place has yet to be determined. The in person guest list will be small due to the uncertainty of regulations. Regardless the size, we will be streaming our wedding live for all to see!
